Micromanagement does not merely control dependent people. Over time, it can teach capable people to stop exercising judgment, wait for permission, and become increasingly dependent upon the leader. Faithful leadership protects the work while deliberately training people, transferring authority, and reducing oversight as competence and responsibility grow.
Biblical leadership is not merely about what leaders teach, decide, or accomplish. Scripture calls those entrusted with people to lead with humility, gentleness, courage, self-control, gracious speech, sacrificial love, and the character of Christ. These passages provide a biblical portrait of authority exercised as faithful stewardship.
