About Leadership Masterworks
Leadership is stewardship… stewardship is faithfulness.
That is where Leadership Masterworks begins.
Leadership did not originate with business, government, the military, or the modern leadership industry. Leadership originated with God, the Creator. He is the Owner of everything, and He entrusts people and possessions and purposes to our care.
Leadership is God’s means of caring for people through people.
A leader is not the owner of those being led, even if that leader founded the organization. Starting an organization does not make its people yours. A leader is a steward, temporarily entrusted with influence, authority, opportunity, and responsibility. How we use that trust matters to God, and it matters deeply to the people affected by our leadership. Even if we do not believe in God, we owe it to the people we lead, and to the society and culture our leadership shapes, to practice these principles. We are stewards whether or not we acknowledge the Owner. The moment we stop acting like stewards and begin acting like owners, we start charting a course toward killing the very organization we worked so hard to build.
What We Believe
Stewardship rests upon three governing truths.
Ownership: It belongs to God.
Responsibility: We are to care for it faithfully.
Purpose: We handle it according to His intentions, not ours.
These truths apply to leadership, relationships, marriage, family, personality, work, ministry, money, time, health, gifts, opportunities, and every other part of life God places into our hands.
Ownership changes the way we see what has been entrusted to us. Responsibility changes the way we care for it. Purpose determines what faithfulness should accomplish.
“Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2 BSB).
Faithfulness does not mean that we never make mistakes. We will. Faithfulness means that we remember who the Owner is, accept responsibility for what He has entrusted to us, and seek to carry out His purposes according to His ways.
All truth is God’s truth. Whenever a leadership principle is genuinely true, it works because it agrees with the reality God established. Psychology, neuroscience, organizational research, and human experience can help us observe those patterns, but they do not create them. They discover what God has already placed within His creation.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help people see reality more clearly through the truth of Scripture, faithfully steward all God has entrusted to them, and multiply faithful stewards who love Christ more deeply, love others more faithfully, and live more wisely for the glory of God.
We are not here simply to distribute leadership information. Information may change what someone knows. Truth understood, practiced, repeated, and shared can change the direction of a life.
We want to help people recognize reality, agree with it, and act upon it faithfully. That means examining our beliefs, character, personality, relationships, habits, responsibilities, and leadership through the truth of Scripture. It also means moving beyond good intentions into intentional action, accountability, consistency, persistence, and transformation.
Our Vision
We envision a multiplying community of faithful stewards who see reality through Scripture, care for all God entrusts to them according to His purposes, lead people with the truth and love of Christ, and prepare others to carry that faithfulness from one generation to the next.
The work should not end with the person who first learns the truth. Faithful stewardship multiplies.
A leader helps another person grow. That person learns to help someone else grow. A mentor prepares a mentoree who eventually mentors others. Parents prepare children. Elders prepare future elders. Experienced leaders share both their wisdom and their scars with those coming behind them.
The vision is not simply better individual leaders. We want to see homes strengthened, marriages cared for, churches shepherded faithfully, workplaces led wisely, relationships restored, and people prepared to carry truth and faithfulness into places we may never see.
What You Will Find Here
Leadership Masterworks is intended to be a guided library, not a warehouse filled with material you must sort through alone.
You can begin with where you lead: the Church and ministry, marriage and family, the workplace and organizations, personal leadership, or mentoring and multiplication.
You can also begin with what you are facing: conflict, broken trust, a difficult leader, an exhausted team, a personality difference, failed accountability, a leadership transition, someone who needs to grow, or perhaps your own blind spot. (Yes, apparently we have those too.)
The articles explore character and the heart, personality and people, communication and conflict, accountability and transformation, relationships and reconciliation, power and authority, developing people, and stewardship.
As the work grows, you will also find books, assessments, surveys, podcasts, videos, recommended resources, and other materials intended to help move truth from understanding into application.
Comments and questions are welcomed because leadership is learned in conversation as well as study. Some questions can help everyone when discussed publicly. Others require privacy, wisdom, and care. We want to provide room for both.
A Work Bigger Than One Person
Leadership Masterworks was initiated through the teaching, mentoring, experience, and more than forty-five years of leadership work of Royce White. But it is not intended to revolve around one man or end with him.
This work is deliberately being built for multiple contributors and future generations. Mentors, pastors, counselors, teachers, experienced leaders, and those who have been taught and mentored should eventually bring their own wisdom, experience, questions, and stories to the work.
The biblical pattern is multiplication. Paul entrusted truth to Timothy and instructed him to entrust it to faithful people who would be able to teach others also. The truth passed from one person to another without belonging to any of them.
That is the pattern we want to follow.
The goal is not to preserve one person’s name. The goal is to faithfully pass along what God has taught us so that others can understand it, practice it, strengthen it, and entrust it to those who come after them.
No contributor is the point. God is the Owner. Truth belongs to Him. We are stewards for our generation.
Our Standard
Truth in love.
We seek truth before novelty, people before platforms, and faithful stewardship before personal recognition. We want every article and resource to be biblically faithful, practically useful, honestly reasoned, and written with enough humility to invite careful examination.
Warmth does not require weak conviction. Conviction does not require harshness. We can speak truth clearly without treating people carelessly.
Scripture is our final authority. Leadership ideas, psychological findings, personality principles, scientific research, personal experiences, and respected teachers can all contribute to our understanding, but none stands above the Word of God.
We will not treat every opinion as equally true simply because it is sincerely held. The patterns are real. The interpretations are not equally true. At the same time, we do not claim that every conclusion reached by a contributor is beyond correction. We are learners and stewards too.
We want to speak with enough humility that people do not feel compelled to defend themselves, and with enough conviction that they cannot ignore the truth.
We will tell good stories. We will ask difficult questions. We will laugh when laughter helps. We will wrestle with ideas rather than pretending every question has a shallow answer.
Above all, we want this work to help people love Christ more deeply, love others more faithfully, and live more wisely.

About Royce White
Royce White has spent more than forty-five years learning about leadership from nearly every side of it. He has been a worker, manager, business owner, president, CEO, teacher, trainer, counselor, mentor, and the person in the room who discovered that his own leadership still needed work.
That last experience has taught him as much as any of the others.
Royce served for twenty-five years as the president and CEO of a media manufacturing company. Since 2010, he has served as CEO and Master Trainer of The Caris Group, helping businesses, churches, ministry teams, nonprofit organizations, couples, and individual leaders better understand themselves and the people God has entrusted to them.
He is a certified international speaker, trainer, and executive coach with the John Maxwell Team and Certified Human Behavior Specialist specializing in personality. His work focuses on leadership, personality, communication, marriage, accountability, conflict, reconciliation, personal growth, and the difficult places where character and leadership meet.
Royce’s background is not limited to the business world. His major was Jazz Music Performance with a minor in Marketing. He spent thirty-three years as a worship leader and worship pastor, giving him firsthand experience with the unusual mixture of creativity, personality, theology, relationships, and leadership found within the Church and the arts.
He has studied Scripture since 1971 and believes the best leadership principles come from the Author of life. Leadership methods can be useful, but they must be tested against the truth of God’s Word. His central leadership conviction is simple:
Leadership is faithful stewardship applied to people.
People do not belong to their leaders. They belong to God. Leaders are therefore responsible to care for them, prepare them, protect them, help them grow, and lead them toward God’s purposes. Leadership is not primarily about gaining influence, building an organization, or making people serve a vision. It is about faithfully stewarding what belongs to God.
Royce is the author of several books including, Positive Accountability, Who’s Killing Your Church?, True Leadership, Covenant Love: A Christian Marriage Mentorship Manual (and Mentors Guide), and is developing additional books and resources on leadership, stewardship, personality, marriage, forgiveness, repentance, relationships, and personal growth. Much of his writing comes from years of working with people through real problems, including damaged trust, unhealthy authority, leadership blind spots, marital struggles, church conflict, and the long work of restoring relationships.
He does not believe in identifying a problem, offering a few clever principles, and then leaving people to work it out alone. As he often says, “I don’t believe in mentoring people and leaving them.” His desire is to walk with people from problem identified to problem solved, helping them understand what is true, what must change, and how to begin practicing it faithfully.
Royce and his wife have been married for nearly five decades. They have five grown children and twelve grandchildren. The lessons learned through marriage, parenting, friendship, ministry, failure, forgiveness, and ordinary family life have shaped his understanding of leadership as deeply as anything learned in a classroom or boardroom.
Leadership Masterworks was not created to make Royce the center of another leadership platform. It was created to preserve, develop, and pass forward what God has entrusted to him and to others. His hope is that mentors, teachers, pastors, counselors, experienced leaders, and the people they are preparing will contribute to this work for generations to come.
The goal is not simply to help people become more successful leaders. It is to help them see reality clearly, love people faithfully, steward what belongs to God, and become more like Christ in the process.
