Restored to What?

Forgiveness, repentance, reconciliation, restoration, qualification, responsibility, and promotion are not interchangeable. A person can be genuinely forgiven and restored to fellowship with Christ while remaining permanently inappropriate for a particular position of authority. Faithful leadership must hold grace and stewardship together—protecting both the repentant sinner and the people entrusted to our care.
